Nutrition Consultation

Proper nutrition and feeding is essential for all pets. From the puppy or kitten stage to the senior pet, proper nutrition to maintain a healthy weight will prolong the life of your pet. Recent studies have shown that pets who maintain a healthy weight will live 2 years longer than overweight pets.

Our staff is extensively trained in pet nutrition and will advise you on proper feeding for your pet at any stage of life. We can make recommendations for high-quality brands of pet food, proper amounts to feed, and appropriate use of treats. Feeding of human food and table scraps is highly discouraged, as this usually leads to pet obesity.

Many pets have medical issues which require them to be on special diets. We carry the full line of Hill's Veterinary Prescription diets, as well as Purina Veterinary Prescription diets to help our patients with medical problems. Our veterinarians will recommend an appropriate food for your pet with medical needs, and our educated technicians will calculate the appropriate amount and type of food for you.

Please ask any of our staff for assistance with your pet's dietary needs.
